Consulting Group bids Farewell!

As, I write this final blog (which marks the end of our tenure with Juicy Market PVD) I am flooded with intense feelings of gratitude for our time spent with such great people and excited to follow along on their journey from here on out. Little do many of you who read the blogs know, but myself and four other classmates are currently wrapping up our two-month consulting project with Juicy Market as we come to the end of our MBA program at Bryant University. This has been a truly one-of-a-kind opportunity that has encouraged us all to get creative with business planning, operating, and managing under the terrific tutelage of our professors along the way. We all wish to thank Monica and and Gretchen for allowing us to be ourselves as we worked together to further expand and develop Juicy Market’s initiatives and long-term planning. The best is certainly yet to come for this group, and for this business!

A few short weeks ago, myself and the rest of our consulting team had the pleasure to attend the Juicy Market event hosted by Whaler’s Brewing Company down in Kingstown, RI. This was our first in-person experience at an actual market, and we could not have been more impressed by the vendors, venue, and overall vibe that we got to interact with. Going into the afternoon, we were super excited to see what vendors would be attending the event for us to peruse their wares. The vendors could not have been more inviting or accommodating to any and all of our comments or questions regarding their goods. Each and every individual we got to know during our time at the market offered a warm greeting and wide smile. The venue offered some fun games to play during our stay and some cold beer that was a great social lubricant to get the Shop.Drink.Dance atmosphere going on the right foot.

              A couple of our personal highlights included the delicious cookies that we purchased from Sweet Blooms Confectionary and the groovy earrings that were purchased from Laura Green. In addition, Tiny Crown Creations had some wicked cool items that would be terrific gifts, or even a special indulgence for yourself. All of my teammates and I were singing the praises of the vendors as we were walking out of the market.

              The brewery was starting to fill up with people, only adding to the atmosphere as we prepared to leave. There was certainly a buzz in the air that was enticing and should be on the bucket list of any fun-loving member of the Rhode Island community. These markets are put on by such a great group of people that truly put the community first so as to bring the party wherever they go. Again, this is certainly a series of markets and events that bring people together and share their love with each and every person who attends. I speak for everyone on my consulting team when I say that we look forward to the next market we attend and offer a hearty recommendation to any and all individuals who are considering attending. The list of markets is extensive and offers something for everyone to enjoy!

We at Juicy Market are super excited to present one of our summer highlight events the Westminster Artists Market, which will be coming to Providence this coming Saturday (July 29th). It will be in and around the area of Black Sheep, Barnaby’s, and Providence Coal Fire that can be found on Westminster’s Street, Providence. At this event you will be sure to find a block party, artist vendor’s, local DJs/music, outdoor dining, and all ages activities (be sure to bring the little ones). Feel free to swing by anytime from noon-5pm, but the party doesn’t stop there as the host venues will be open for drinks and eats after the closing of the market. The one we will be discussing today is the next stop of the Juicy Market Brewery Tour which will take place at Moniker Brewery on Wednesday, July 19th. This is a super fun and vibrant location found at 432 W Fountain Street, Providence. Be sure to swing by from 4pm-8pm for some local vendors, food trucks, and craft beer. This experience further solidified the belief in the therapeutic benefits of cannabis and its potential to support overall well-being.

Inspired by her family's journey and armed with a deep-rooted understanding of plants, Zara founded CRAVEInfused. One of the key objectives of the brand is to destigmatize cannabis by highlighting it as another powerful healing plant. Zara passionately advocates for the recognition of cannabis as eligible for medical insurance, ensuring that individuals do not have to bear the burden of exorbitant costs. She firmly believes that everyone should have affordable access to the medicine they need.

Driven by her academic background in Political Science, Zara authored a thesis titled "Cannabis is Legal, Now What?" This in-depth study examined the implications of cannabis legalization on businesses, business owners, and marginalized communities disproportionately affected by marijuana drug laws. While proud to operate a cannabis business, Zara recognizes the importance of advocating for participants in the legacy space. She strongly supports the reconstruction of communities that have been disenfranchised by the War on Drugs, emphasizing the need for social justice and equity within the industry.

Zara's personal journey towards veganism further solidifies her commitment to plant-based living. With a gradual transition from red meat to a meatless diet at a young age, she became a vegan at 19. Spending countless hours in her grandfather's garden served as an invaluable education on the potency and transformative power of plants. Zara's ultimate goal with CRAVEInfused is to share the wisdom bestowed upon her by her beloved grandfather, empowering others to harness the potential of plants for their health and well-being.

This week in the world of Juicy Market PVD we are super excited to put on another one of our iconic market events down at Whalers Brewing Co. in Wakefield, RI. Whalers is a fun, hip venue and we’re wicked pumped to be able to partner with them to bring you guys a wide array of vendors, music, and drink options which are sure to liven up any Thursday afternoon and into the evening. After all, Thursdays are a perfect night to “Shop.Drink.Dance” and segway into the weekend. The Whalers market this Thursday is going to run from 4pm-9pm and is our last scheduled event at this location for the remainder of the summer so be sure to come down and experience the fun. When you come down to join us you are sure to find art, candles, vintage apparel, home décor, and more. We’re super excited to see you and be sure to mention that you heard about the event via the blog when you get there.

            This week’s post on Juicy Market PVD will include what to expect at the events that we hope to see all of you down at, and wrap-up with a Vendor Highlight of our good friend, Keera, at Linked Permanent Jewelry!

            The first event this week will be Wednesday (6/21) down at Moniker Brewery at 432 W Fountain Street, Providence. This hip, urban setting will serve as the perfect backdrop for the vendor market from 4pm-8pm on a casual mid-weeknight perfect for a couple drinks, laughs, and dances (oh and don’t forget shopping!!!). Come on down to see our vast array of small business and homemade vendors. Not only are there great options on gifts for others but trust us when we say it is not selfish to #treatyourself every once in a while and get something that calls your name. We are sure the fun will be had by all and want you to be a part of it.

            Our second event this week, The Westminster Artists Market, is on Saturday (6/24) from 12pm-5pm at our “home-base” Black Sheep at 397 Westminster Street, Providence. This event serves as one of our cornerstones for the summer market tour and will be a good old-fashioned Block Party!!!! You can rest assured that the artisan vendors, local DJs, and outdoor dining will leave you speechless and ready for more. Come spend your Saturday afternoon with us and let the good times roll!
