The Healing Power of Plants: Introducing CRAVEInfused

In a world where the potential of plants often goes overlooked, one visionary entrepreneur is on a mission to change the narrative. Inspired by her grandfather's remarkable journey with cancer and fueled by her passion for plant-based living, Zara created CRAVEInfused. This brand seeks to celebrate the healing power of plants while challenging the stigma surrounding cannabis. In this blog post, we delve into the inspiring story behind CRAVEInfused and explore the three driving forces behind its establishment.

In 1998, Edbert Seymore Salmon, the grandfather of CRAVEInfused's founder, received a devastating diagnosis of prostate cancer. Against medical advice, he embarked on a remarkable six-month plant-based juice fast that resulted in the shrinking of his tumors. From that moment on, Edbert embraced a predominantly plant-based diet, instilling in his family the profound importance of plants. As he tended to his garden with his little grandkids in tow, he imparted a world-class education on the power of plants and their healing potential.

Fast forward to October 2021, when Edbert's wife, Gloria Madge Salmon, was diagnosed with lung cancer, just two weeks after his own cancer resurfaced. Unfortunately, Edbert passed away on January 25th, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. However, during their battles with cancer, both Edbert and Gloria integrated cannabis edibles and topicals into their healing regimens to manage pain. This experience further solidified the belief in the therapeutic benefits of cannabis and its potential to support overall well-being.

Inspired by her family's journey and armed with a deep-rooted understanding of plants, Zara founded CRAVEInfused. One of the key objectives of the brand is to destigmatize cannabis by highlighting it as another powerful healing plant. Zara passionately advocates for the recognition of cannabis as eligible for medical insurance, ensuring that individuals do not have to bear the burden of exorbitant costs. She firmly believes that everyone should have affordable access to the medicine they need.

Driven by her academic background in Political Science, Zara authored a thesis titled "Cannabis is Legal, Now What?" This in-depth study examined the implications of cannabis legalization on businesses, business owners, and marginalized communities disproportionately affected by marijuana drug laws. While proud to operate a cannabis business, Zara recognizes the importance of advocating for participants in the legacy space. She strongly supports the reconstruction of communities that have been disenfranchised by the War on Drugs, emphasizing the need for social justice and equity within the industry.

Zara's personal journey towards veganism further solidifies her commitment to plant-based living. With a gradual transition from red meat to a meatless diet at a young age, she became a vegan at 19. Spending countless hours in her grandfather's garden served as an invaluable education on the potency and transformative power of plants. Zara's ultimate goal with CRAVEInfused is to share the wisdom bestowed upon her by her beloved grandfather, empowering others to harness the potential of plants for their health and well-being.

CRAVEInfused stands as a testament to the incredible healing power of plants and the transformative potential of cannabis. Inspired by her family's journey and armed with a desire to destigmatize cannabis, Zara has built a brand that advocates for affordable access to medicine, supports marginalized communities, and spreads the knowledge her grandfather imparted. With CRAVEInfused, Zara is making a positive impact on individuals' lives while driving forward the conversation surrounding the immense value of plant-based living and cannabis as a healing plant.
